Should I drive my car with the "Check Engine" light on?

If vehicle has no signs of failure, such as smoke, steam, different gauge readings, system should be checked to be sure, If light is flashing, do not drive, catastrophic damage could occur.

If my car breaks down after regular business hours, should I have it towed home?

Have car towed to our shop, tell the tow company we are closed, they will keep it for the night and deliver it when we are open, or they will place it on the street near the shop.

If my brakes make a high pitched squeak noise, can I drive for a few days?

Yes you can, the squeak is usually the low pad sensors, but sometimes brake pads wear at an angle and you do not have a few days before a brake rotor is so badly damaged that it must be replaced, at a much higher cost.

How much fluid can leak before I need to make an appointment?

All leaks are vital, fuel, engine oil, power steering fluid and transmission fluid can catch fire and burn your  vehicle. When you are low on these fluids and coolant vehicle components can fair  due to lack of lubrication and overheating. f your car is low on coolant, it may overheat and cause engine, radiator or transmission damage. If you must drive with a leak, check fluid levels and gauges many times per drive, and carry a fire extinguisher and a cell phone that has 911 in the program.

What does it mean when my car vibrates or shakes when I apply the brakes?

You probably have warped front brake rotors, usually caused by over using brakes such as riding brakes down a hill, coming up fast to a stop and then holding pedal down hard, or rotors are worn to minimum thickness. If when applying brakes vibration is livable, you do not need brake work, I would have brakes inspected to be sure.

When do I need new wiper blades

A good wiper blade should clean your windshield in one to two passes, it should be as clear as just washed glass on a warm day  Blades usually need replacement every 6 to 12 months
